Overnight Care Giver Position Details

As an Overnight Care Giver, you will provide one-on-one support to an aging male client as they work towards their goals and overall independence. This includes teaching skills such as medication management and healthy eating, performing light household duties and physically caring for the client. 

This job is part-time, one to three nights per week, $13-$15/hr plus overtime accrual. Shifts begin at approximately 9pm and end at approximately 9am (overtime is paid time and a half). Ability to stay longer or come in early is a plus. Location is in southern Marin County.  


  • $25/month cell phone reimbursement plus expenses and gas mileage reimbursement

  • Paid sick days and paid bereavement leave

  • Paid holidays based on regularly scheduled work hours

  • One additional day of PTO each year


  • Begin and end shift with household duties, including light cleaning

  • Provide physical care of client

  • Prepare meals

  • Teach strategies to live as independently as possible

  • Sleep at assigned times and waken and be alert if there is an emergency situation

  • Attend staff meetings to discuss current cases and brainstorm creative solutions to challenges

  • Basic computer literacy, specifically with Gmail and Microsoft Office

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Valid California driver's license with proof of insurance required, background check will be conducted
