ABOUT THE JOB
Personal Development Navigators / Living Skills Instructors provide one-on-one guidance and instruction to individuals with disabilities as they work toward personal goals, educational success, and greater independence. Services are provided in home, community, and educational settings, including support with school participation, skill development, and routines that promote learning and independence.
Support may include:
Teaching cooking, domestic, and self-care skills to individuals living at home or independently
Supporting executive functioning, organization, and daily routines in educational or vocational settings
Assisting with school readiness, transitions, attendance, and engagement
Providing conflict resolution between roommates or peers
Supporting transportation skills, financial literacy, and community navigation
Encouraging healthy routines, exercise, and social participation
This position can be part time or full time, $20–$23.50/hr depending on experience and caseload. Shifts generally range between 9am–7pm at locations throughout Marin County. Both weekday and weekend shifts are available.

Part time:
Commuter stipend up to $53/month, depending on distance of commute

DUTIES
PartPartner with clients to work toward goals related to independent living, education, transportation, domestic skills, socialization, financial skills, personal health, hygiene, and community engagement
Provide in-home, community-based, and educational setting support tailored to individual needs
Support skill development related to school participation, organization, time management, and self-advocacy
Keep detailed progress notes after each session and maintain accurate digital records
Complete and submit all required documentation and forms on time
Attend case conferences with clients, families, schools, and collaborating agencies
Participate in staff meetings to discuss cases and brainstorm creative solutions
Model professionalism, healthy boundaries, and person-centered support
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic computer literacy, specifically with Gmail and Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valid identification (Real ID, driver’s license, or passport) required
A background check will be conducted
